Women's Retreat Report

We are excited to announce that the Women & Teen Retreat continues to evolve based on your feedback! Each year, we strive to enhance your experience, and in 2023, we took significant steps to better understand your needs.

With the support of Dr. Heather Clark and Dr. Sara Elizabeth Mendez from the Texas A&M Learning Team, we conducted a Community Assessment to gain insights into what you value most for the Retreat. Your voices have guided us, and we are committed to incorporating your suggestions.

In 2023, our theme “BELIEVE” inspired us to build strength, courage, and our dreams, reinforcing the idea that believing can achieve our aspirations. As we move into 2024, we are excited to build on this foundation with our new theme centered around “FAITH,” inspired by Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Together, we will embrace our faith in our goals and the journey ahead.

We are thrilled to share an exciting lineup for this year’s Women & Teen Retreat, designed with your interests in mind! We have curated an incredible program that promises to inspire and engage everyone.

Join us as we welcome two esteemed speakers: Stephanie Guzmán, MSN-ED, APRN, FNP-C, a Family Nurse Practitioner, and Virginia Whatley, a Peer Coach Specialist. By popular demand, the teens will also have the opportunity to hear from Mindy Robertson, whose insights have resonated with so many.

This year, we’re excited to feature a variety of vendors focusing on business, career, and healthcare. We’ve extended break times to give you the chance to connect with these vendors, ask questions, and gather valuable information.

We are also pleased to present a special guest, Casey Muse, who will address mental health through the unique lens of Music Therapy—a truly transformative experience you won’t want to miss.

Additionally, the Pleasant Hill Quilters from Linden will bring history to life through skits and storytelling showcased in their beautiful quilt patterns. To add even more fun, we’ll have engaging table games led by one of our favorite Bible and school teacher, Natasha White, focusing on the theme of FAITH.

There’s something for everyone at this year’s retreat, and we can’t wait for you to be a part of it! Register now to secure your lunch and join us for a weekend filled with inspiration, connection, and growth. We look forward to seeing you there!

For the first 100 to register, you will be eligible for a $250 door prize.
