Community Assessment Data

When Morris County received the grant from the Hogg Foundation, county officials were asked by the Foundation to conduct a community-wide assessment to determine the root causes of the issues in their community.

A report by the County Health Rankings determined that Morris County ranked 242 out of 244 counties for their health score, putting the county only two paces above being the worst in the state.

The annual Rankings provide a revealing snapshot of how health is influenced by where we live, learn, work, and play. This number provides a starting point for change in Morris County.
