We are thrilled to announce that the 2023 All-Grantee Conference was hosted by the BEHOLD behavior, health, outreach and leadership development project Collaborative in Brooks County. Many thanks to Tammy Heinz and Rick Ybarra for organizing this event.
The conference, organized by the Texas AM, Austin, Hogg Foundation, brings together grantees from across the state to discuss sustainability, planning, discuss strategies, and a great time to network and share information . This year, some of the members of the Morris County Collaborative as well as residents and one of our Partner Organizations, The BUDDY Organization, attended the conference in Falfurrias.
During the conference, we had the opportunity to tour the town and learn about the community's collaborative efforts to increase well-being. We also visited museums that showcased the town's rich Hispanic history, visited the area where they are planning a Walking Trail, and saw the Falfurrias plant where butter is made. The conference was an amazing experience, and we are excited to bring back what we learned to our community.
We are also hosting this conference in Morris County next year.
